Mr Jean Deguara and his team were excellent before, during and after the operation. I am grateful to all of them for their assistance on the day of the surgery. Special thanks to the Anesthetist, Ray, the nurse that took me to the theater, the nurses in the theater when they were trying to wake me, I can vaguely remember them being very gentle and friendly. All in all they were amazing.

Dr Deguara was very clear and concise explaining the complications I had with my appendicitis, and resulting appendicectomy, explaining medical jargon where necessary. I was always made aware of what decisions were being made, and why, and made fully aware of my options before making any decisions. I would absolutely recommend him for any GI cases.

Mr Deguara is an expert in his field. There is no doubt without his skill and care my mother would not be here today. He identified and sorted out her serious gall bladder infection. His confident and honest manner offers reassuring support. In follow up appointments he takes the time to explain things clearly, answers concerns and gives sound advice. He takes the trouble to provide helpful information and guidance. Under his care you are in good hands.

Mr. Deguara's expertise and skills in performing a exchanged jejunostomy tube outshines all the GI surgeons at the Royal Marsden hospital in Fulham Rd.The surgeons there lack expertise in this speciality and left my husband with no nutrition/ medications for 2 weeks simply because they were not up to the standard for such procedure. So I removed him in desperation to the care of Mr. Deguara in Coombes Private Wing Kingston Hospital. We use our private health insurance to get Mr. Deguara who initally did the operation in Dec 2013 to replace his blocked jej tube in March 2014, he took 30 minutes and procedure was successfully carried out. 5 months later in August the jej tube was temporary blocked so I contacted Mr. Deguara who again replaced the blocked tube successfully . Why cant the GI surgeons at Royal Marsden Hospital be trained to his level? It is Mr. Deguara who has saved my husband's life on the 3 occasions which my family and I are most grateful. I came in as an emergency case as an NHS patient. I was extremely ill and the care I received from this doctor was always honest and he explained everything to myself and my family very clearly. His expertise has saved my life and when the time came for me to have a reversal operation I decided to use my private medical insurance and I wanted this doctor to perform the operation as I had total faith in him.
